Why must I book in advance?
All good things are planned in advanced! We need to ensure that an equal number of men and women attend each Speed Dating event, so everyone who attends will be required to book their place either by phone or online.
All events operate on a first come first served basis so it's important to book early to avoid disappointment. No bookings can be taken on the night.

Who goes to a Speed Dating event?
People just like you! These are mainly single professionals who, due to their busy lifestyle don't have the required opportunities to meet new people either through their work or circle of friends. They can simply be unattached, separated, divorced or widowed. The common factor is that they are eager to make new friends and are looking for new relationships.

What happens when I arrive at the event?
Once you arrive you will be given your name badge and a MatchCard. Our friendly host will then introduce you to some other Speed Daters who you can have a drink with at the bar. Once the event is to start the Host will explain how the Speed Dating process will go. Each person will then be paired with a date. After 3 minutes a bell will ring informing everyone its time to discreetly fill in their MatchCard according to how they feel about their present date. While all the women are seated, all the men would then get up from their seats and move on to the next date and the process is repeated. At certain intervals a short break is taken to cool down and mingle. Many people are surprised at how enjoyable and easy going the whole process is. Once all the dates have been made, the Speed Daters are free to stay on at the bar to chat and mingle further.
Once you reach home you take your MatchCards with your choices and log on to the MultiDating website where you then key in these choices against each of your dates. You will then be informed of your successful matches.

What is the dress code for Speed Dating?
There is no dress code. Just be yourself. The key thing is to dress as if you are going on a date in which you wish to impress the ideal man or woman you are looking for.

Can I come on my own?
Sure, many of the Speed Daters, both men and women, come by themselves. The relaxed atmosphere will cool down any jitters you may have so there is nothing to worry about.

Can I bring a friend?
You most definitely can. Though they can't take part in the dating event, they can wait for you at one of the bars while the event is on. If your friend wishes to also partake in the event they will also be required to register for the event.

How old are the other Speed Daters?
Most Speed Daters who attend MultiDating events are aged between 25 and 40. Each event usually has a rough guide as to the age group required, but there is no rigid age requirement.

Is there a long list of requirements to attend an event?
No, just 3 things:
-You must be single.
-You need to be over 19 years of age.
-You need to have an email address (for your successful dates to contact you)

I'm older/younger than the age range specified for the event. Can I still attend?
Yes, you can. The age ranges specified are purely guidelines. If you are, or look as if you are outside the range, you may not get many matches and therefore could be disappointed.

What if more of one sex than another register?
We ensure during the event booking process that an equal number of men and women attend each MultiDating event.

How many dates will I get?
Each MultiDating event will have around 25 men and 25 women attending. We normally limit it to these numbers as the Speed Dating process, though fun, can be demanding. We don't wish to burn you out!

When will I hear if I have any matches?
You will know of all your successful matches usually within 48hrs after the event. You simply log into the MultiDating website (with your login details) and you will receive the first names and email addresses of everyone you ticked who also ticked you.

Is 3 minutes long enough for a mini-date?
Yes it is. It does not take long to find out if there's any chemistry between you and the person you are talking to. If both of you like yourselves and tick Yes on your MatchCards then you can take it from there.

How long does a Speed Dating event last?
The dating lasts up to 3 hours, including a couple of mini-breaks in between the dating. Many Speed Daters stay on after the event for a few drinks too.

Are the events held in private?
Yes they are. The events are held in private rooms or halls and the only people taking part are other Speed Daters.

How many Speed Dating events can I attend?
As many as you wish to attend. There are no restrictions. Some people find the MultiDating Speed Dating experience so much fun they want to attend again and again.

What is the booking process?
On the MultiDating homepage, select the event you are interested in from the list displayed. On the event info screen you then click on the Book Now button to book online. For those who wish to book and make payment via the telephone please call the number provided (there is usually a £1 charge for phone bookings on top of the normally booking fee).
For online bookings you will be taken to the
Barclays Secure Payment portal so you are assured that everything is safe and secure. Once your payment has been made you will receive a confirmation email confirming your purchase and giving you details on the event and how to log into the MultiDating site after the event to view your matches.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you give us at least 5 days notice we can normally change your booking to another date and event. Unfortunately we do not offer refunds.
